Our Story

There is also a Slovak connection in the family. Chris has a Slovak wife, and Andy had a plan – and that is how a British cider project somehow ended up heading east.

The name reflects this step from sensible to slightly crazy. But although the idea may sound a little crazy, the approach is serious.

In Slovakia, it is still something new. We want to introduce it the way we know it – made honestly and without unnecessary fuss – and see whether people will grow to love it as much as we do.

The plan was simple: take our cider to the local Motorest pub, pour a few glasses, and see what people thought.

No market research. No polite focus groups – just real reactions from people trying Crazy Golf Cider for the first time.

The evening quickly turned into a long tasting session with locals who were curious about this slightly unusual British project. What started as a few drinks became a real conversation about cider, flavour, and what people expect when they pick up a bottle.

That night turned out to be more important than we realised.

The feedback we received led directly to a rebrand and a rethink of our range, shaping the next chapter of Crazy Golf Cider.

Sometimes the biggest decisions do not happen in boardrooms.

Sometimes they happen over a few drinks in the pub.
